Atticus Lowe served in various roles at West Coast Asset Management, Inc. (WCAM), a registered investment advisor, from 2002 through 2014 when the firm’s separately managed equity and fixed income accounts were acquired by Lucia Capital Group. His responsibilities at WCAM included management roles in research, portfolio management, marketing, client service, operations, and trading.
From 2006 through 2014, Atticus served as WCAM’s Chief Investment Officer and oversaw more than 100 client accounts and $500 million of assets under management.
He is a co-founder of Montecito Venture Partners, LLC, a venture capital partnership, and a co-founder of Black Sable Energy, LLC, an oil and gas exploration and production company that was acquired by EnerJex Resources, Inc. Atticus formerly served as a Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee for Black Raven Energy, Inc., and he currently serves as a Director of EnerJex Resources, Inc.
Atticus is a CFA Charterholder and has completed the Series 65 Exam along with the Value Investing Executive Education Program at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business. He graduated from Westmont College in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Business, and he is the coauthor of The Entrepreneurial Investor, a multi-national book Published by John Wiley & Sons. Honored as a member of the “Forty Under 40” Class by the Pacific Coast Business Times, Atticus has been a featured speaker at the Value Investing Congress in New York and California, and he has been profiled by Oil and Gas Investor Magazine and Value Investor Insight.
